QR Codes Guide
Learn how to generate and use dynamic QR codes to bridge the gap between physical and digital.
What is a Dynamic QR Code?
Unlike static QR codes which encode the destination URL directly, Loxli's Dynamic QR Codes encode a short link. This means you can change where the code leads at any time, even after you've printed it on flyers or business cards.
How to Generate a QR Code
- Create or select a Short URL in your dashboard.
- Click the QR Code icon next to the link.
- The QR Code manager will open, showing you a live preview of your code.
Customizing Your QR Code
You can tailor your QR code to fit your needs:
- Size: Choose from Small (150px), Medium (300px), or Large (500px) depending on your use case.
- Colors: Set custom foreground and background colors using hex values to match your brand.
Downloading and Using Your Code
You can download your code as a PNG image. For the best scanning results, we recommend:
- Minimum Size: Ensure the code is at least 2cm x 2cm when printed.
- High Contrast: Keep a strong contrast between the foreground and background colors.
- Clear Space: Leave a small "quiet zone" of empty space around the code.
Tracking Scans
Every time someone scans your QR code, it counts as a click in your link's analytics. This allows you to measure the effectiveness of your offline marketing materials in real-time.
