What you can set on every link.
- Custom alias
- lox.li/s/spring-sale. Lox checks whether the alias is free as you type.
- Destination
- Change it any time. The short link and its QR code stay the same.
- QR code
- A PNG at 150, 300 or 500 pixels, in your own colors.
- Password
- Visitors enter it before they're redirected.
- Expiry
- Pick a date. After it, visitors see an expiry notice or go to a fallback URL you choose.
- Schedule
- Redirect only on chosen weekdays and between chosen hours (UTC). Outside them, visitors see a "not available right now" page.

Each link has its own report with total clicks, clicks for the period you choose and the time of the last click. Clicks are broken down by referrer, device type, browser and operating system, and the history lists every click.
Your account view adds unique visitors and ranks your links and bio pages by clicks for any date range. Both reports export to CSV.

Screened before it redirects.
Every new link is checked against Google Safe Browsing and five public phishing and malware blocklists. Lox also follows redirect chains and flags lookalike domains. A link that fails is held for review, and links from the last 30 days are checked again every hour.

The Lox API lists your links, creates new ones and returns a link's click analytics. Create a token in Settings and choose its permissions. Free accounts can make 60 requests a minute.

How many links can I make for free?
100 at a time, including the buttons on your bio pages. Delete a link to free up a spot.
Can I change a link after I've printed its QR code?
Yes. The QR code points at the short link, so changing the destination changes where the code goes.
What do visitors see after a link expires?
A short notice that the link has expired, or the fallback page you chose.
Do I need an account?
Not to shorten a link. The free URL shortener makes links that last 30 days and have no analytics. In an account, links stay live until you delete them and get every setting on this page.
