Welcome to Lox. By accessing or using our URL shortening and link-in-bio platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using any part of our service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must be at least 13 years of age to use this service.
  • One person may not maintain more than one free account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Lox to:

  • Create links to malware, phishing, or any malicious content
  • Distribute spam or unsolicited communications
  • Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
  • Promote illegal activities or violence
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
  • Circumvent usage limits or access controls
  • Create links to content that is obscene, defamatory, or harmful

We reserve the right to disable any link or account that violates these terms without prior notice.

4. Service Description

Lox provides:

  • URL Shortening – Create short, trackable links with optional custom slugs, expiration dates, scheduling, and QR codes
  • Bio Pages – Build customizable link-in-bio landing pages
  • Analytics – View click data, geographic information, referrers, and device breakdowns for your links
  • Organization – Manage links with folders, tags, and UTM templates

5. Plans and Billing

  • Free accounts are subject to usage limits as displayed on our pricing page.
  • Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) as selected at the time of purchase.
  • You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan at any time from your account settings.
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us if you believe you are owed a refund.

6. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you create through the service, including links, Bio Pages, and associated data. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to host, display, and transmit your content as necessary to provide the service.

7. Link Destinations

You are solely responsible for the content at the destination URLs of your short links. We may check links against spam and malware databases. Links that are flagged may be disabled or require manual approval.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect availability. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance of planned downtime.

9. Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time from your account settings.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.
  • Upon termination, your short links will stop redirecting and your Bio Pages will become inaccessible.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lox shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the service.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the service. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
