Folders & Tags

Keep your link library organized and searchable with our powerful folder and tagging system.

Why Organize Your Links?

As your marketing efforts grow, you might find yourself managing dozens or hundreds of links. Folders and tags allow you to find what you need in seconds and keep your link library tidy.

Note: Folders and Tags are available on Pro plans.

Using Folders

Folders are best for broad categorization, such as by client, department, or major campaign. Each link can belong to one folder.

  • Create a Folder: Navigate to the Folders page from the sidebar and click "Create Folder." Give it a name and choose a color to help visually distinguish it.
  • Assign Links: When creating or editing a link, select a folder from the dropdown in the advanced settings.
  • Color Options: Choose from eight colors (blue, green, amber, red, purple, pink, cyan, gray) to color-code your folders.

Using Tags

Tags are flexible labels that can be applied to any link. Unlike folders, a single link can have multiple tags, making them perfect for cross-categorization.

  • Create Tags: Navigate to the Tags page from the sidebar and create tags with names and colors.
  • Apply Tags: When creating or editing a link, use the tag selector in the advanced settings to add one or more tags.
  • Filter by Tag: Use the tag filter on the Links page to view all links with a specific label like "social," "paid-ads," or "summer-sale."

Best Practices

  • Consistency: Stick to a naming convention (e.g., all lowercase, use hyphens).
  • Don't Over-Folder: If a category has fewer than 5 links, a tag might be a better choice.
  • Use Both Together: A link might live in a "Q1 Campaign" folder but also have tags for "social" and "paid-ads" for cross-cutting views.
